Beech Spring 2026
Posted: Feb 13, 2026 by: Debbie Bagwell (dbagwell) on: Beech Class
After the festive holidays, it has been time to help clean the environment in Beech Class as we focused on Waste and Recycling.
We have had so much fun looking at all the different materials that can and can’t be recycled. We have sorted waste into the correct bins and even visited each class to recycle their materials. Science has been a hit this term!
In English, we have been reading the story of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’. The children have loved progressing through the story, creating actions as we go through different environments. We have sequenced the story and used pictures to create our very own story map.
We’ve had another busy term in Math’s. We started the term focusing and recapping on our number recognition and representation. We also focused on capacity, shape and money.
Weather and Seasons has been our topic in Geography. We identified different weather and used props to represent these. We also looked at different pictures and used communication aids to suggest what they weather may be for that day. We also provided information on the clothing you may need in different types of weather/seasons.
PE has been a real highlight this term. We have been practicing our throwing and kicking skills. We have aimed to throw high and low in preparation for target throwing. We have used different targets to aim at including some staff members!
After another busy term, the children have continued to work so hard and put a lot of effort in to achieve their successes.
From everyone in Beech Class, have a lovely half term!
