Hello wonderful followers of Rowan Class

This term has been another action-packed adventure—yes, we’ve been making waves again (quite literally)!

Our topic, “Water, Water Everywhere – We Are Sailing,” has truly made a splash. The pupils dove right in, showing fantastic engagement across all our lessons. From oceans to pirates to the deep blue sea, we’ve been navigating through some exciting waters.

In Literacy, we’ve explored the fascinating tales of The Secret Life of an Octopus, The Life of a Pirate, and Into the Blue. Let’s just say, our imaginations have been sailing at full speed!

Maths got a little messy—in the best way possible! We brought in water, Gelli Baff, and slime (yes, slime!) to practice requesting, exploring, pouring, estimating, and reading units of measure.

To keep everyone moving and grooving, our pupils continued with their weekly CE, Sensory PE, Hydrotherapy, and PE sessions. And just when you thought we couldn’t fit in any more fun, the amazing team from South Ribble Sports Partnership joined us to deliver Bikeability and Dance from the Heart.

The Bikeability sessions gave every pupil the chance to improve their cycling skills—or simply enjoy the ride at their own pace. Watching our pupils take to the playground on our brand-new carriage bike—a true joy!
