Winter Wonders and Learning Adventures!

As the frosty days roll in, our classroom has been buzzing with excitement, creativity, and plenty of curious minds at work. Here’s a peek into what we’ve been up to lately:

In English we’ve been diving into sensory stories that bring bonfires crackling to life and take us on magical walks through winter woods. The children have loved using their senses to imagine the warmth of the flames, the crunch of frosty leaves, and the sparkle of icy branches.

From building with 2D and 3D shapes to exploring size and weight, our mathematicians have been busy stacking, sorting, and comparing. Who knew that learning about cubes and cones could feel like playtime?

Our budding artists have been designing their very own album covers. The creativity has been off the charts—think bold colours, imaginative titles, and designs that could easily be hanging in a gallery!

In RE, we’ve been reflecting on the season of Advent. The children have enjoyed learning about traditions, symbols, and the anticipation of celebrations to come.

Shake, rattle, and roll! Geography lessons have taken us deep into the earth to discover how earthquakes happen. The children loved exploring how the world beneath our feet is constantly moving.

Science has been all about animals and humans. We’ve compared different species, learned about body systems, and discovered the amazing ways living things survive and thrive.

It’s been a term full of imagination, exploration, and discovery. The children have truly embraced every subject with enthusiasm, and we can’t wait to see what adventures next week will bring! To keep everyone moving and grooving, our pupils continued with their weekly CE, Sensory PE, Hydrotherapy, and PE sessions.

We hope you have enjoyed our blog post and pictures!
